What is 3D printing?

3D printing transforms a digital model into a physical object by building it one layer at a time.

At Shyfox, we primarily use FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), which heats and deposits filament in thin layers to create a finished piece.

This process may leave visible layer lines and minor surface variations, which are normal characteristics of 3D printing.

What can you 3D print?

3D printing can create a wide variety of items, including collectables, decorations, replacement parts, organizers, functional components, and hobby projects.

What Shyfox can print depends on the model's design, size, material, intended use, and our printing capabilities.

What materials does Shyfox use?

Shyfox currently offers two 3D printing materials:

• PLA — Our primary material, ideal for collectables, decorations, and detailed prints. Available in a variety of colors and finishes.

• PETG — A tougher, more flexible, and more heat-resistant option suited for projects requiring additional durability.

Why only these materials?

As a home-based business, we prioritize safety and carefully select the materials we work with. Some filaments require additional ventilation and workspace precautions.

What 3D printers does Shyfox use?

Shyfox currently uses two Bambu Lab FDM 3D printers:

• Bambu Lab P1S — A fast, enclosed printer ideal for collectables and everyday projects.

• Bambu Lab X1C — An advanced enclosed printer with additional monitoring and printing capabilities.

Based on our experience, we recommend Bambu Lab printers for their performance and versatility, though the best choice depends on your needs and budget.

Looking ahead: We hope to add a Bambu Lab H2 Series printer to expand our printing capabilities and explore more efficient multicolor printing.

Are Shyfox products made to order?

Most Shyfox Collectables products are 3D printed to order, meaning they're made specifically for you after purchase rather than pulled from existing inventory.

Any ready-to-ship items or exceptions will be noted in the product listing.

How long will my order take?

Most orders are prepared for shipment within 5–10 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

Production times may vary based on order complexity, material availability, and workload. Shipping time is additional.

Need your order by a specific date? Contact us before ordering. Rush requests may be considered for an additional fee, subject to availability.

Does Shyfox offer gift cards or discounts?

Yes! Shyfox Collectables offers digital gift cards delivered by email that never expire and can be used toward eligible website purchases. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

We also offer occasional sales, discounts, and promotions, subject to availability and applicable restrictions.

What 3D-printing services does Shyfox offer?

Shyfox Collectables offers made-to-order 3D printing for individuals, creators, and businesses using customer-provided 3D models.

Our current services include:

• Individual 3D Printing — Have an STL or 3MF file ready to print? Submit your model for review and a personalized quote.

• Batch 3D Printing — Need multiple copies of a model? We offer small-batch printing based on production capacity and availability.

We focus on physical 3D printing and do not currently offer original 3D modeling, CAD, or engineering services.

All projects are reviewed for feasibility, materials, quantity, and availability before acceptance.

What do I need to provide for Shyfox to print my project?

To get started, you'll need a print-ready 3D model (STL or 3MF) and some basic project details.

Helpful information includes:

• Quantity and desired dimensions

• Material and color preferences

• Intended use and special requirements

• Preferred completion timeframe

Not sure about everything? That's okay! Provide what you can, and we'll discuss any missing details.

Customers must own or have permission to reproduce submitted models. All requests are reviewed for printing feasibility and production availability before acceptance.

Shyfox provides physical 3D printing, not original 3D modeling or design services.

Can Shyfox print a model I purchased or found online?

Possibly! Shyfox may be able to print customer-provided models found or purchased online, provided they're suitable for FDM 3D printing and properly licensed.

• Personal Use: You must have permission to have the model printed by a third-party service. Personal-use licenses do not always allow this.

• Commercial Use: Multiple prints, resale, or production orders may require additional licensing or commercial permissions.

Shyfox may request the original model listing, license details, or proof of permission before accepting a project.

Not sure about your model's license? Feel free to share the listing or license information. We can help you identify what to check, but permission must come from the designer or rights holder.

All requests are subject to review and approval.

Can Shyfox design or modify a 3D model for me?

Not currently. Shyfox specializes in 3D printing and production, not model design or modification.

We do not offer CAD modeling, engineering, reverse engineering, file repairs, significant model modifications, product testing, or certification.

Minor print-preparation adjustments may be made when necessary, but these are not design or repair services.

Customers must provide a completed, print-ready STL or 3MF file. We hope to explore 3D modeling services as Shyfox grows.

Absolutely! We're happy to share our experience with printers, filaments, troubleshooting, slicer settings, model licensing, and more.

While we can't guarantee solutions or provide official technical support, we'll gladly share what we know or point you toward helpful resources.
